Lighthouse by Ethan

One dark cold night a lighthouse stood on top of a hill. The hill caved over the bumpy rocks like a wave in the sea. As the light went around, the people cheered in the town. In the lighthouse there stood a grumpy old man who wrote letters to people all day and night. Suddenly the light went out. He rushed up the stairs, DON! DON! DON!
He looked into the light and a boat horn honked. He lifted up the light and tripped over his toolbox. The light smashed into a million pieces. He felt really bad. Suddenly the people from the town bought their lanterns and the boat could see again.
